To be perfectly frank, I’d say I’m quite dependent on my smartphone—it's essentially the command center for my daily life. Like a lot of people, the moment my alarm goes off, the very first thing I do is grab my device and scroll down my notifications just to see if I missed anything urgent overnight. After that, I usually open a news aggregator app to check out the latest global headlines while I'm having my morning coffee.
Throughout the day, my phone is my go-to for micro-entertainment. If I have a spare ten minutes waiting for the bus or queuing at the supermarket, I'll invariably find myself opening social media to blindly swipe through a seemingly endless barrage of short videos and photos. I readily admit it's a bit of a mindless habit, but it helps me decompress between tasks.
Of course, all this heavy usage means my mobile plan takes a real beating. Because I stream a lot of high-quality audio and rely heavily on cloud-based apps, I almost always run out of my monthly cellular data allowance a few days before my billing cycle ends. When that inevitably happens, it's just a quick matter of opening my network provider's app to top up my balance with a few extra gigabytes to keep me connected.
So, while I do try to occasionally digitally detox, my phone habits are definitely deeply ingrained in my everyday routine.

🇬🇧
As part of his ongoing visit to Uzbekistan, British Council Regional Director Adrian Chadwick, joined by Country Director Michael Houlgate, held an expanded meeting with Madjit Karimov, Director of the Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Competences
🤝
This discussion was a deliberate step to widen our structural cooperation. We reviewed the Agency’s core mandate and evaluated the concrete outcomes of our past joint projects to set a clear baseline for what comes next.
📊
🎓
Moving forward, our shared focus is on capacity building, professional exchange, and streamlining the verification of language certificates. We are actively aligning our assessment solutions with Uzbekistan's national educational priorities, ensuring international expertise effectively meets local needs
