As a Crimson CAO alumni, I wholeheartedly recommend applying to this program.
Crimson Access Opportunity is a free college guidance program where amazing mentors will help you with planning your application, creating ideas for ECs, and writing your endless essays. Even though I could not get into the universities I wanted that application season, I have had the best help for absolutely free, and I can confidently say that I loved my application genuinely. It was the best. I had 10+ hours with my strategic mentor, unlimited time with App mentor (essay help), some hours for financial aid application, and many other resources and opportunities. Also, I was able to make my first ever international friends who right now study in the best colleges of the world. Yes, I have to admit that your experience depends on what kind of mentor you will get, but at least my experience was that my mentors were so kind and helpful. Big thanks to my Alex aka & Olga opa. This is not an ad; simply my personal recommendation.
Want one of the best helps that costs up to $10,000? Apply here:

Kazakhstan
was on my plans that could fulfill my expectations. It has amazing universities - especially the
Nazarbayev University
was on first on my list. I have met a friend that was studying foundation at Nazarbayev. I only heard positive words from her which confirmed all the hype I see on LinkedIn where a NU graduate gets accepted into Harvard and MIT for masters. It can really be a trampoline for you to later proceed to other top graduate programs. It is ranked
#106 in THE Young University Rankings 2026
and
#1 in Central Asia
. It has mostly international professors who themselves studied in Columbia, MIT, etc. It has partnerships with unis like HKUST and many other exchange programs to study abroad.
You can earn a full-tuition scholarship!
And living in Kazakhstan is as affordable as we have here and with even better quality of life.
All reasons combined, I genuinely recommend you applying to Kazakhstan right now.
Apparently, our friends made
Q App through which you can apply to 50 universities for FREE
(until march 31). Good part is, it will take you only 20 mins to apply as you don't need Activities or Essays. Just your stats and personal info.
Seek new challenges, new experiences, new people, new places, and better education.

US decisions are coming out. Some are happy receiving the acceptances, while MOST will face the reality of
harsh rejections
. Everybody sees these people with high SAT, IELTS, coming from cool private schools, getting into top colleges, while most of us start late to achieve the same. Time is more powerful. People will start to look for alternative options. Staying in Uzbekistan will be the fate of most as studying abroad now without scholarship becomes financially unaffordable.
This was the same situation with me last year. And in the beginning of my new year, I evaluated all my options and priorities. I would apply abroad to the US and some European universities if they give a scholarship. If not, I needed a back up plan. Westminster or Webster were cool choices though with their tremendous contracts of $3,500 and $4,000. However, staying in Uzbekistan for my studies did not seem exciting as I plan to live in Uzbekistan after the studies. Changes are for good, so I wanted a back up that can give affordable, high-quality, and international education somewhere geographically new.

On Detroit.
I bought my laptop in 2023, but until now, I have installed only 2 games. I had a long desire to play Detroit because I saw those edits of how you choose what the character does. I thought this game would be too heavy, but apparently, it is a game from 2018 and has super basic system requirements. Finally, in January, I installed it.
You play for 3 characters, which are androids (AI robots – that is, it is just time to play this game as AI is on trends everyday). By plot, androids become “deviants” - they go off their script, become conscious like humans, and start to uprise against humans, demanding their rights. You play for both sides, humanity and rebel androids, which makes your choices even more complicated.
If you noticed, I have made a few posts regarding moral choices, like the
trolley problem
. These moral challenges are something I really love, and thus, psychological thrillers are my favourite film genre. Detroit is a movie itself; it is a narrative game. Compared to the narrative line of Mortal Kombat 11, this narrative is way better. It is not linear; you write the plot; and you play, all at the same time. You should try this game ASAP.
From the first sentences of this post, you may have thought that people who get high scores on IELTS, SAT, etc., and get into cool universities, never play video games. This is a common misconception that those guys do not play games and are focused only on studies and work. HELL NAH. I am not
botanik
nor most of the other guys. We do play. Life would be too boring if we only worked and studied. You just should strive to find a balance. Playing is okay, over-playing is not. You should always sort out your priorities (
as Ron said
) and focus on what matters.
And sometimes, you are worth getting some rest and playing a game. And my recommendation is “Let that game be Detroit: Become Human.”
