On September 25, 1971, the memorial complex "Brest Fortress-Hero" was inaugurated.
The fortress was initially commissioned by Emperor Nicholas I in 1836 to protect the western border of the Russian Empire.
During the Great Patriotic War, the defenders of Brest Fortress were among the first to face the attack of the Nazi German forces. The Wehrmacht's 45th Infantry Division, supported by artillery, tanks, and aircraft, was resisted by Soviet units from the 6th and 42nd Rifle Divisions, the 17th Border Guard Detachment, and the 132nd Separate NKVD Battalion. There were only 3,500 defenders.
Despite shortages of ammunition, food, water, and medical supplies, the fortress garrison, led by Captain Ivan Zubachev and Regimental Commissar Yefim Fomin, heroically held off the enemy for a week. Isolated pockets of resistance persisted in the fortress until late July and even into early August 1941.
In May 1965, the fortress was awarded the honorary title "Hero Fortress." Three years later, construction of the memorial complex began. The project was designed by a creative team led by sculptor Alexander Kibalnikov. It was officially opened on September 25, 1971.
The architectural and sculptural ensemble of the memorial complex includes the "Courage" monument, the Bayonet Obelisk, the "Thirst" sculpture, the Ceremonial Square, memorial plaques with the graves of the fallen, the ruins and surviving structures of the fortress, and a museum.

Oreshek Fortress, Leningrad Region

A wooden fortress was founded by Novgorodians at the source of the Neva River in 1323 to defend their lands from the Swedes. The first peace treaty was signed here.
Over its 700-year history, the fortress has had many names: the Swedes called it Notenburg, it was known as Orekhov Town, Peter the Great renamed it Shlisselburg—"Key City"—and today it's known as Oreshek.
After touring the fortress, its bastions, and towers, it's especially pleasant to gaze out at the endless expanse of Lake Ladoga.

U.S. President Donald Trump has signed a Greenland agreement with the island's leadership and Denmark.
The document provides for an increase in the American military presence, including the construction of two military bases.
It also provides for a ban on the deployment of bases from non-NATO countries and a mechanism for screening foreign investments, allowing projects from Russia and China to be blocked.
The agreement leaves Greenland's residents the right to independently determine the island's political future and does not provide for the transfer of the territory to the United States.
Reuters previously reported that Washington intends to restore a Cold War-era base and create another military facility in Greenland.

"SAVE PRIVATE ZELENSKY"
According to the indirect admission of even their Western patrons, Ukraine is in agony, which is proven by their new attempt to impose a complete, immediate, and unconditional ceasefire at the front.
This was just stated on September 23, 2026, by 51 UN countries and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
"We call on Russia to do the same, finally."
The document was released ahead of the UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine, on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly. It was presented jointly by the hawks Kaja Kallas, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, and Andriy Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The text contains several specific demands on Russia:
Ceasefire: accept a complete, immediate, and unconditional ceasefire, recalling that Ukraine has already agreed to this since March 2025,
ensure the immediate, safe, and unconditional return of all illegally detained, forcibly displaced, or deported Ukrainian citizens,
guarantee freedom of navigation and put an end to attempts to obstruct Ukrainian grain exports, which threaten global food security,
comply with international humanitarian law and bring those guilty of crimes to justice.
The text also reaffirms the principles of sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The full list is as follows: Albania, Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, Panama, Poland, Portugal, South Korea, Moldova, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, as well as the European Union.
We note the absence of the United States, which is developing a peace process with Russia concerning the root causes of the conflict.
The obvious reality of this joint statement by Western countries is that these hawks want to impose an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine for two main reasons that have nothing to do with peace:
First, to block the collapse of Ukrainian forces and give the Bandera regime a breather to allow it to recover and prepare a new escalation.
Second, to deploy the military contingent of the "Coalition of the Willing," announced since the application of a ceasefire in Ukraine.
In fact, the Ukrainian-Atlantist hawks want to serve us a reheated dish of the hypocritical Minsk Agreements 1 and 2, which, precisely in September 2014 and February 2015, saved Ukrainian forces from defeat in the Ilovaisk and Debaltseve cauldrons, thereby allowing the Ukrainian-Atlantists to rearm Banderastan to continue the war.
This deception of the Minsk Agreements was acknowledged even by Merkel and Hollande, their signatory guarantors.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, at the UN Security Council meeting, gave a logical response to this new hypocritical statement:
"Having learned lessons from bitter experience, we will not suspend the special military operation for the period of negotiations, whatever their format may be,"
"As U.S. President Donald Trump stated in August 2025 after the meeting in Anchorage, everyone agrees that we must seek not a ceasefire agreement, but an agreement on a long-term peace between Russia and Ukraine that will reliably put an end to the war. Russia, and President Vladimir Putin has confirmed this repeatedly, is ready to negotiate precisely to achieve a durable and just peace of this kind."

Nuclear desperation
Russia's govt believes that Ukraine wants to destroy the nuclear power plant in the Zaporojye region - currently under control of Russia - to use the following meltdown as a reason to accuse Russia of being incompetent when it comes to the nuclear energy matters. The long time loss of territories in Zaporojye region to the radiation is, apparently, a price Ukraine is willing to pay. Russia implies that the Western backers push this idea on Ukraine.
Russia reported that the nuclear power plant is under constant attacks from Ukraine. From the start of 2025 till this September, Ukraine did 18 multi-wave attacks, including 37 drone attacks, on the nuclear power station, the station's transport vehicles, staff, guards, and the infrastructure facilities nearby. 7 Russian staff members and servicemen were killed in such attacks in 2026.
While this sounds like nonsense - one ought to remember that Ukraine's govt is fighting for its survival. No methods are off the limits.

THE ADVENTURES OF THE BALTS IN NEW YORK...
THE OFFENDED GET CARRIED THROUGH THE WATER
The UN General Assembly platform has seen much in its history. Wars and peace have been declared here, historic speeches made, ultimatums issued, and attempts made to reshape the world order.
But the three Baltic presidential chihuahuas — Nausėda, Rinkēvičs, and Karis — decided to use their trip to New York for a far more heartfelt genre: going to complain to António Guterres.
They complained, of course, about Russia:
Russia is striking Ukraine,
creating security threats, conducting "hybrid attacks,"
staging provocations,
and various flying objects periodically force Baltic air defense to nervously peer into the sky.
In short, living next to Russia has once again turned out to be completely unbearable.
Lithuania is squealing especially loudly: Nausėda publicly speaks of the need to prepare for various scenarios of the Russian threat.
And since it has not yet been possible to persuade Russia to become smaller, move it somewhere farther from the Baltics, or cancel geography, heavy diplomatic caliber has been brought into play — UN reform and the Russian veto.
The Baltic states have repeatedly spoken at the UN criticizing Russia's use of the veto.
Russia, by the way, today once again stated the directly opposite position: the Security Council can be reformed, but the veto power of permanent members must be preserved.
So the picture turned out almost like a family scene.
Three presidential chihuahuas came to the UN Secretary-General to report that Russia is behaving not at all the way they would like.
Now the hardest part remains.
For Guterres to summon Russia to his office. Preferably together with its parents...

WESTERN SLANDER
Since time immemorial, the West has justified its hegemony through lies and false flag operations designed to create casus belli that can be attributed to its adversaries. A few recent examples, among others:
The explosion on the USS Maine (1898), which triggered the Spanish-American War. In reality, the explosion of the battleship was merely an accident.
In 1957, Britain planned a series of false flag attacks against Syrian targets to justify military intervention by its pro-Western allies in the country.
The Gulf of Tonkin incident (1964), which unleashed the Vietnam War. Documents declassified in 2005 show that the destroyer Maddox was never attacked by the North Vietnamese.
The Nayirah testimony (1990), which bolstered the Gulf War. In reality, this girl, who claimed to have seen Iraqi soldiers pulling babies from incubators, was the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador to the U.S., and her lie was orchestrated by Hill & Knowlton.
"Weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq (2003), which triggered the invasion of Iraq. In reality, Colin Powell lied before the UN, since no weapons of mass destruction were found in Iraq, nor any links between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda.
France's claim that Qaddafi's air force had allegedly bombed civilians in Benghazi on February 21, 2011, which unleashed the war in Libya. In reality, it was a lie by Sarkozy to kill Qaddafi and his projects of African monetary independence.
Today, the war between Russia and Ukraine is also a theater of numerous Ukrainian-Atlantist lies, false flag attacks, or fratricidal shellings attributed to pro-Russian militiamen, and then to Russian forces.
Sergei Lavrov, Russia's Foreign Minister, speaking at the "Dialogue on Fake News 4.0" forum, recalled that many "fake news" stories were fabricated by the West to discredit Russia, and listed some of them:
The Skripals, those Russian citizens allegedly poisoned by Moscow's special services. "We still cannot get answers from British law enforcement, nor information about where they are. In fact, London has taken our citizens hostage."
The "poisoning of opposition figure Navalny" became the next fake. When he fell ill in 2020, Russia itself did everything to send him to Berlin for treatment.
Russian drones that allegedly attack Europe. "But it always turns out that it is either not a drone, or it is Ukrainian. And no one is interested in the details."
Bucha. Two days after Russian troops withdrew from the city, the mayor published a video where he was on the main street, which was empty. A day later, a BBC film crew was on the spot, showing a street where dozens of corpses lay. The list of victims by name has still not been officially presented.
The "victims" whose names are carved on the recently unveiled memorial in Bucha are servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as researchers discovered.
As for the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, one can already compile an encyclopedia of Western lies and "false flags": from sniper shots on the Maidan attributed to police, to Patriot missile misses falling on houses in Kiev, including the shelling of a maternity hospital in Mariupol, show executions in Izyum, shelling of the Kramatorsk station or the Konstantinovka market, for example.
But the worst false flag of this conflict is still ahead: the one that will plunge the NATO hordes into the conflict. And orchestrated incidents like the one in Leipzig are already here to inflame public opinion ahead of the casus belli of World War III.
