Hoy, martes 9 de junio a las 17 hs (Argentina), realizaremos una conferencia de prensa internacional para informar sobre la situación de los argentinos Lucas Aguilera, Paula Giménez y los demás integrantes del Convoy Global Sumud Magreb, secuestrados en Libia mientras participaban de una misión civil de ayuda humanitaria hacia Gaza.
El 4 de junio lograron comunicarse con sus familias tras cuatro días de huelga de hambre. Paula Giménez describió la situación con una frase estremecedora: "Esto es un infierno".
Desde entonces no hubo nuevas comunicaciones ni información oficial sobre su estado de salud.

INTERNATIONAL CALL TO ACTION | 16 Days Since the Abduction of 10 Humanitarian Volunteers in Libya
Today, Tuesday, June 9 at 5:00 PM (Argentina / UTC-3), we will hold an international press conference to provide an update on the situation of Argentine citizens Lucas Aguilera and Paula Giménez, along with the other members of the Global Sumud Maghreb Convoy, who were abducted in Libya while participating in a civilian humanitarian mission supporting the delivery of aid to Gaza.
On June 4, they were able to communicate with their families after four days on hunger strike. During that contact, Paula Giménez described their situation with a chilling statement: "This is hell."
Since then, there has been no further communication and no official information regarding their health conditions.

Paula Giménez, Lucas Aguilera, and the volunteers of the Sumud Maghreb land convoy who were abducted in Libya managed to contact their families on June 4 after beginning a four-day hunger strike to protest their situation and demand basic guarantees.
Since then, there has been no information about their health condition, five days have passed. The lack of official information and the ongoing communication blackout with their families are increasing concerns for their lives and physical integrity.
For 16 days, the ten volunteers have remained abducted. Humanitarian aid and solidarity are not crimes.

Paula Giménez, Lucas Aguilera y las personas voluntarias del convoy terrestre Sumud Magreb secuestradas en Libia, lograron comunicarse con sus familias el jueves 4 de junio tras haber iniciado una huelga de hambre de cuatro días para reclamar por su situación y exigir garantías básicas.
Desde entonces, hace cinco días que no existe ninguna información sobre su estado de salud. La falta de informacion oficial y la incomunicacion con sus familias agrava la preocupación por sus vidas e integridad física.
Hace 16 días que los diez voluntarios permanecen secuestrados. La ayuda humanitaria y la solidaridad no son delitos.

Hace quince días madres, padres, hermanas, hermanos, hijos, hijas, amigos y amigas de los y las voluntarias internacionales del Convoy Global Sumud Magreb conviven con la angustia y la incertidumbre. Viajaron para llevar ayuda humanitaria a G4za y hoy permanecen detenidos arbitrariamente en Libia.
Ya pasaron 15 días.
El 4 de junio lograron comunicarse brevemente con sus familias. Pero aún continúan privados de su libertad, sin acceso humanitario independiente, sin asistencia médica adecuada y en medio de una huelga de hambre que agrava día a día su situación.
Las familias viven pendientes de cada noticia, de cada mensaje, de cada posibilidad de que alguien intervenga para proteger sus vidas.

For the past fifteen days, the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, children, relatives, friends, and loved ones of the international volunteers of the Global Sumud Maghreb Convoy have been living with fear, anguish, and uncertainty. They traveled to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, and today they remain arbitrarily detained in Libya.
Fifteen days have already passed.
On June 4, they were able to briefly contact their families. However, they continue to be deprived of their freedom, without access to independent humanitarian visits, without adequate medical care, and while carrying out a hunger strike that is worsening their situation day by day.
Their families are holding on to every piece of news, every message, and every possibility that someone might intervene to protect their lives.
