Nahdet Misr Group seeking to hire : Chief Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee the complete accounting cycle from journal entries to the preparation of financial statements.
-Prepare daily journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, and reconcile customer and supplier accounts.
-Ensure full compliance with Egyptian tax regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS).
-Manage and lead the accounting team, assign tasks, and monitor daily performance.
-Handle tax obligations including VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, and income tax, and coordinate with tax authorities and external auditors.
-Contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the documentation cycle and internal controls.
Qualifications:
-8 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, including at least 3 years in a Chief Accountant or similar leadership role.
-Strong knowledge of IFRS and Egyptian tax laws.
-Proficiency in accounting software; experience with ERP systems such as Odoo or SAP is preferred.
-Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills.
-Strong command of English (written and spoken).
