“Obod va fayzli mahalla – yurt ko‘rki” initiative at WIUT

A two-day hashar took place on 22–23 August as part of the nationwide “Obod va fayzli mahalla - yurt ko‘rki” initiative to prepare the campus for the new academic year.
WIUT members came together to clean campus areas, remove waste, carry out greening work (tree care), complete minor building repairs, and tidy walkways and public spaces.
Our thanks to everyone who took part! Your effort has helped make the campus ready for the year ahead.

You will learn how to create an engaging classroom environment, use digital tools, implement project and task-based learning, effectively assess results and motivate students.

WIUT and the Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Centre signed a Memorandum of Understanding
Westminster International University in Tashkent and the Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Centre under the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at developing scientific potential, training highly qualified specialists and promoting legal literacy in the field of competition and consumer rights protection.
As part of the cooperation, it is planned to conduct joint research in the field of competition policy and consumer protection, implement educational programmes and events, including lectures, seminars and round tables, and develop joint publications and information and analytical materials. In addition, the cooperation aims to develop academic mobility by exchanging specialists and experts, as well as jointly promoting issues related to improving the legal literacy of the population in the specified areas.

WIUT Alumnus Denis Roman Wins Westminster Alumni Award 2025!
We are beyond proud to announce that our alumnus,
Denis Roman
(BSc in Business Information Systems, 2017), won the
Westminster Alumni Award 2025
in the Entrepreneurial Award category!
Denis is the co-founder and CEO of We Digital, one of the leading marketing agencies in Uzbekistan. In five years, he has grown We Digital from 6 to 40 employees, delivering over 300 projects annually and reaching $2.1 million in revenue in the past 12 months.
He is also the co-founder of AIM Lab, a creative tech unit that develops AI tools for marketing. One of its key products, Kotib AI, offers Uzbek-language transcription and translation services and now supports over 10,000 users, including creators and media professionals.
Fueled by passion, We Digital launched Uzbekistan’s first online library of traditional ornament patterns, which now inspires brands, artists and schools nationwide. They also created an AI-driven project that lets blind children see and share their dreams.

Scholarship Opportunity for Applicants to the MA in Creative Industries Management

The Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan is offering
up to 10 scholarships
for applicants admitted to the
Master of Arts in Creative Industries Management
programme at WIUT.
Application deadline: 19 August 2025
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview with the selection committee in late August.
To be eligible, applicants must:
– Hold an unconditional offer to the MA in Creative Industries Management
– Submit a motivation letter in English (300-500 words) addressing:
1. Why do you want to study on the MA in Creative Industries Management?
2. How does it support your professional goals and career?
3. Why do you believe you deserve the scholarship?
4. What can you contribute during an internship at the Art and Culture Development Foundation?
– Submit a CV in English and Russian, outlining relevant education, experience, and achievements related to the creative industries
Additional criteria (preferable):
– Proficiency in a second foreign language (e.g. French, German, Arabic)

Scholarship recipients are expected to work for a minimum of two years at the Foundation or affiliated cultural institutions following graduation.
