Og’abek was one of my favorite students for two reasons: 1. He never lied about anything 2. He actually put in the work. I’m genuinely glad that he got a decent score given his honest nature and work ethic. Farangiz is also similar to Otajon in that she too takes his teacher’s advice seriously. One thing high-achievers have in common is that if you ask them, they never say getting a high score was hard - that it just naturally happened. Otajon is the definition of dedication and a die-hard shows fan, having finished over seven shows already. I keep telling my students the same - that exposing oneself to natural English on a daily basis through English shows and all. However, some take it seriously and dive in, others don’t and continue wandering why they can’t their English to the next level.
