🌟
Fall short of expectations
-
not be as good as people hoped or expected; fail to reach the desired level (utilgan natijaga yetmaslik, umidlarni oqlamaslik)
- Dadil, an Indian movie, is second to none, capturing genuine human determination and unwavering courage so powerfully that it
never falls short of your expectations

⭐️
SO AS TO + V1

purpose / in order to do something (maqsadida / … qilish uchun)

I tend to wake up early
so as to complete
my assignments with a fresh mind, feeling refreshed and re-energized after a good night’s sleep
❗️
Notes:
Slightly formal, often used in speaking and writing, negative form: so as not to + verb
⭐️
IN ORDER TO + V1

purpose / with the aim of doing something (maqsadida / … qilish uchun)

My computer has become a digital classroom
in order to conduct
online lessons for my students.
❗️
Notes:
More formal, mainly used in writing, can replace “so as to” in most cases, negative form: in order not to + verb
⭐️
SO THAT + S+ V

purpose / to show the result of an action (maqsadida / shunday qilib … bo‘lsin uchun)

I often attend online courses
so that I can upgrade
my skills and avoid falling behind in my field.
❗️
Notes:
Often followed by a modal verb (can, could, will, would).

Do you worry about the future?

Deep down, I wouldn’t say I’m by nature the kind of person who always has inner peace, but I try to stay as calm and practical as possible. That said, instead of worrying about the future, I prefer to
cross that bridge when I come to it
and focus on the things I can control right now. I find this approach helps me stay positive and reduces unnecessary stress.

⭐️
Cross that bridge when you come to it

to deal with a problem only when it actually happens
(muammo chiqqanda hal qilmoq / oldindan xavotirlanmaslik)
- Instead of worrying about future challenges, it’s better to
cross that bridge when you come to it.

🌟
“Break the ice”
-
to start a conversation in a comfortable way, especially when people feel shy or the situation feels awkward (noqulay holatni yumshatmoq)
- During my lessons, I usually tell a light joke to
break the ice
, which helps students feel more relaxed and willing to participate.
