The second national championship in Beach Kurash was held in Ho Chi Minh City

The second national championship in Beach Kurash in Vietnam has determined its winners.
More than 100 Kurash players from different regions of the country participated in the competition. This championship, organised for men and women, was held on the beaches of one of the most beautiful tourist centers in Ho Chi Minh City.

The competitions were held in a highly competitive spirit, and the athletes demonstrated technically and tactically meaningful fights.

In recent years, Vietnamese Kurash players have also successfully participated in international competitions. In particular, the Vietnamese national team won 3 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals at the 2025 Asian Championship in South Korea, taking second place in the overall team standings.

On 31 March 2026 at 14:00 (CEST), the next international webinar for specialists in the field of anti-doping will take place. It is dedicated to the topic “Ask the Expert: TUEs” and constitutes the third online knowledge-exchange meeting of 2026.

During the webinar, International Testing Agency (ITA) Scientific and Medical Manager Pedro Gonçalves will participate and provide detailed information on TUEs — Therapeutic Use Exemptions, which allow the use of medications for therapeutic purposes.

During the online meeting, specialists will provide explanations regarding the practical aspects of this system, the procedure for its application, as well as issues that are important for athletes and sports organisations. Participants will also have the opportunity to receive direct answers from the expert to the questions that interest them.

Participants are required to register and submit their questions by 16 March via the following link. During the event, the main portion of the submitted questions will be discussed, and a live question-and-answer session will also be held at the end.This seminar is open to ALL IKA Members.

Gretsiyada Pankhellenik Kurash chempionati bo‘lib o‘tdi

2026 yil 7–8 mart kunlari Gretsiyaning Amynteo shahrida yoshlar va o‘smirlar o‘rtasida Pankhellenik Kurash chempionati bo‘lib o‘tdi. Mazkur musobaqa mamlakatning ushbu yosh toifalaridagi eng kuchli polvonlarini aniqlash hamda Gretsiya terma jamoasi tarkibini shakllantirish maqsadida tashkil etildi. G‘olib va sovrindor sportchilar kelgusida xalqaro, qit’a va jahon chempionatlarida mamlakat sharafini himoya qilish uchun saralab olindi.

Nufuzli musobaqada Gretsiyaning turli hududlaridan tashrif buyurgan 24 ta sport klubidan jami 163 nafar sportchi gilamga chiqdi. Bellashuvlar yuqori saviyada, keskin va murosasiz ruhda o‘tdi.

E’tiborga molik jihati shundaki, Gretsiya kurashi tarixida ilk bor ushbu chempionatda ko‘zi ojiz sportchilar ham ishtirok etib, o‘zlarining matonati va sportga bo‘lgan qiziqishini namoyon etdilar. Panhellenic Kurash Championship was held in Greece

On March 7-8, 2026, the Panhellenic Kurash Championship among youth and teenagers was held in Amynteo, Greece. This competition was organised to identify the strongest Kurash athletes in these age categories of the country and to form the composition of the Greek national team. The winners and prize-winning athletes were selected to defend the honor of the country in future international, continental and world championships.

A total of 163 athletes from 24 sports clubs from different regions of Greece took to Gilam in the prestigious competition. The competitions were held at a high level, in a tense and uncompromising spirit.

It is noteworthy that for the first time in the history of Greek Kurash, blind athletes also participated in this championship, demonstrating their perseverance and interest in sports. This is an example of the commitment of the sport of Kurash to the principles of inclusiveness and its growing popularity.

At the end of the competition, the organisers expressed special gratitude to all participating athletes, especially athletes with disabilities, for their dedication and active
participation in Kurash.

Today, the next online Ordinary meeting of the Directing Committee of the International Kurash Association (IKA) was held at the headquarters of the International Kurash Association (IKA). It was attended by the IKA President Haider Farman, Honorary First Vice-President Adkham Ikramov, Vice-Presidents Jaime Casanova, Thomas Dunker, Komil Ruziyev, Secretary General Reza Nassiri, Technical Director Ravi Kapoor, Head of the IKA Administration Mansur Mirzaev, IKI Rector Khabibulla Tadjiev and Committee Chairpersons Bae Hyeong Sik, Tsui Fang Chang and Jo Hee Park.

During the meeting, a number of important issues related to the international development of the sport of Kurash were discussed and several decisions were made. In particular, the structure of the Association's Directing Committee, the date and format of the next World Kurash Championship were considered.

According to preliminary proposals, the World Kurash Championship is planned to be held between November 6 and 13 of this year among seniors, cadets and juniors. The issue of the host country for the competition is still under discussion.

The meeting also focused on the issues of further strengthening the anti-doping system in Kurash.

Uchrashuv davomida Kurash sport turining xalqaro rivoji, uning yoshlar sportidagi o‘rni va maktab sporti tizimi bilan hamkorlik istiqbollari yuzasidan batafsil taqdimot o‘tkazildi. Taqdimotda Kurash bilan shug‘ullanuvchilar soni, ayniqsa, O‘zbekiston, Hindiston va Eron kabi mamlakatlarda juda yuqori ekani alohida qayd etildi. Shuningdek, O‘zbekistonda shakllangan zamonaviy sport infratuzilmasi hamda kurash maktabining boy tajribasi xalqaro hamkorlik uchun muhim asos bo‘lib xizmat qilishi ta’kidlandi.

Ushbu tashabbus orqali nafaqat yosh sportchilar sonini ko‘paytirish, balki Kurash bo‘yicha malakali o‘qituvchi va murabbiylar korpusini kengaytirish maqsad qilingan.

Uchrashuv chog‘ida janob Marko Petric maktab sporti taqvimidagi yirik musobaqalar haqida ham ma’lumot berdi. Jumladan, 2027-yilda U-15 yosh toifasidagi musobaqalar Serbiyada, U-18 toifasidagi bahslar esa Meksikada ISF World Cup individual sport turlari dasturi doirasida o‘tkazilishi rejalashtirilganini ta’kidladi. Shu bilan birga, u Kurash sport turining ISF World Combat Games dasturi doirasiga kiritilishi ehtimolini mamnuniyat bilan qo‘llab-quvvatlashini bildirdi.

Issues of Integrating Kurash into the School Sports System Were Discussed

Yesterday, on 4 March, an online meeting took place with the participation of Mr. Marko Petric, Sports Director of the prestigious organisation International School Sport Federation (ISF), which is engaged in developing school sports at the international level, Mr. Reza Nassiri, Secretary General of the International Kurash Association, and Mansur Mirzaev, Head of the IKA Administration.

During the meeting, a detailed presentation was conducted regarding the international development of Kurash, its role in youth sports, and the prospects for cooperation with the school sports system. In the presentation, it was particularly noted that the number of people practising Kurash, especially in countries such as Uzbekistan, India, and Iran, is very high. It was also emphasised that the modern sports infrastructure formed in Uzbekistan, as well as the rich experience of the Kurash school, serve as an important basis for international cooperation.

During the dialogue, special attention was also paid to the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. According to this Resolution, it is planned to gradually introduce the sport of Kurash in all general education schools of the country. Through this initiative, the goal is not only to increase the number of young athletes, but also to expand the corps of qualified teachers and coaches in Kurash.

“CISM Kurash Challenge Cup” — organisational issues are at the centre of discussion

Another important meeting dedicated to holding the “CISM Kurash Challenge Cup” competition at a high level was held at the Headquarters of the International Kurash Association.

As it is known, in May 2025, Kurash was officially recognised as a military sport by the International Council for Military Sports (CISM). After this historic decision, for the first time the CISM Kurash Challenge Cup competition is planned to be held in Tashkent on September 4-9 of this year in accordance with the CISM calendar with the participation of the Kurash federations of the CISM member states.

During the meeting, issues such as holding the competition at a high organisational level, receiving foreign delegations, preparing sports facilities, and establishing an effective information policy were discussed in detail.

The meeting was attended by the General Secretary of the International Kurash Association Mohammad Reza Nassiri, the Head of the Administration Mansur Mirzaev, responsible officials of the Ministry of Defence Mansur Mamadaminov and Maxim Sukhov, as well as the First Deputy Chairman of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Kadirov and Assistant Chairman Sardorbek Karimov.

During the discussions, the IKA General Secretary noted that this competition is of particular importance as it is the first time that it is being organised among the military within the framework of CISM. As noted, more than 30 national athletes are expected to participate in the competition, and the competitions will be held in 13 weight categories.

The matters such as preparation of the Competition Regulations, the development of the official logo, the preparation of promotional videos, and the expansion of international media coverage were also discussed in detail during the meeting.

Welcome to the 5th Asian Youth Cup!

On April 17–20, 2026, the city of Urgench in the Khorezm region will host the 5th International Asian Cup among cadets (born in 2009–2010), dedicated to the memory of Pakhlavon Makhmud and held for the Prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

This prestigious competition is organized under the leadership of the International Kurash Association, in cooperation with the Kurash Confederation of Asia and the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan.
The tournament aims to further popularize Kurash at the international level, support young talents, and strengthen continental competition.

This Cup, held among cadets, serves as an important test and valuable experience for future champions.
The competition will take place at Yoshlik Sport Complex in Urgench and will be held in a total of 7 weight categories:
Boys: -55 kg, -65 kg, -77 kg, +77 kg
Girls: -48 kg, -57 kg, +57 kg

According to the competition regulations, each country may enter one athlete per weight category. The host country is allowed to enter two athletes in each weight category.
Winners and prize winners will be awarded diplomas, medals, and cash prizes.

Согласно регламенту соревнований, каждая страна может выставить по одному спортсмену в каждой весовой категории. Страна-организатор может выставить по два спортсмена в каждой весовой категории.
Победители и призеры будут награждены дипломами, медалями и денежными призами.
